Russian Institute for Public Networks (RIPN)
is the non-profit organization that was behind
the emergence of the Russian Internet segment.

RIPN

is the founder of the Russian
domain industry.

Since 1993

we have been developing and administering a national top-level domain ".SU"

For many years RIPN has been building and maintaining networks for scientific and educational institutions across Russia, as well as an infrastructure for international scientific cooperation.

With our involvement, the Russia`s first traffic exchange points, a certification centre and large-scale implementations of IPv6 appeared.

Today RIPN supports the critical infrastructure of the Russian segment of the Internet and is actively involved in developing measures for its regulation.
